Summer Sessions 26: Block printing

Fun half-day workshop for 11 to 17-year-olds.

Join Double Elephant printmaker Alon Gershstein for an introduction to rubber stamp block printing.

Explore its differences from other types of block printing, and the advantages of using rubber surface and ink pads. Discover this medium's playfulness with colours and variations.

We will trace out our chosen images on to the rubber and then cut the rubber surface using lino cutting tools - to create the stamps. Using different coloured ink pads and papers to print out our stamps, experiment with this versatile medium.
