British Bees in Needlefelt and Stitch Workshop

11 until 3.30pm – inc. half hour lunch break at 1pm
Create a British Bee and learn the basic principles of 3D needle felting.

Explore the anatomy of bees and how to represent this in British wool and reclaimed yarns and threads. Please bring a special small container or tin to work into (a few spares are available).
-Suitable for complete beginners or for those looking to develop their skills.
-All ages are welcome, aimed at 7 years and above.
-All materials and equipment provided.
-Please bring a packed lunch, other refreshments provided – let us know any dietary requirements.

Lead Artist and Curator of the ongoing collaborative creative project ‘FIFTY BEES: The Interconnectedness of All Things’, Lydia Needle uses art to concentrate attention on the endangered British bee population. Each year, she creates fifty small individual bee art pieces using wool, stitch and tiny vintage containers.
