Dartmoor Photographic walk in the footsteps of Ravilious

11am to 3pm

Dartmoor based-photographer Nicky Thompson will revisit the Dartmoor paths trodden by James Ravilious, guiding you to, then contemplating familiar parts of Ravilious’ visual language.

Bring a digital/analogue camera or device to take your own photographs in similar locations.
Nicky will show you how to take advantage of the natural light available to create the most atmospheric representation of your subject. We will also consider other landscape photographers and contrast their different approaches.

Refreshments provided whilst we walk. There will also be an option to retire to Two Bridges Hotel at the end of the session to reflect and review images.


Meeting point: Wistman’s Wood or Two Bridges car parks.
