Climate Conversions

CAMP and Thelma Hulbert Gallery will jointly present the next Climate Conversations event as part of the CAMP exhibition Where Are We Now?

Two artists, Dana Aala and Sara Bor, whose work is included in the exhibition, will join a public conversation facilitated by CAMP co director Mark Leahy.

Responding to themes present and approaches used in the artworks for Where Are We Now?, we will discuss ways in which artists can respond to the climate emergency through their choice of process and medium, through the stories they tell, and through how they make work in the context of the climate emergency, species loss, and the impact of climate breakdown on communities and individuals.

What are Climate Conversations?

Climate Conversations have been developed against the context of East Devon District Council’s commitment to Devon’s Climate Change Emergency declaration, and Exeter University’s declaration of an environment and climate emergency. The events bring together academics and artists with the aim that through the lens of arts and culture, Climate Conversations can help us discover different perspectives and create new opportunities to help us understand and adapt to our changing planet.
